Later that day Strac arrived home and decided to cook everyone a Chinese meal, which was much appreciated by all. After this and a few beers the Diuturnals decided to venture out. Strac took the others to the centre of Amsterdam for their first taste of Amsterdam night life. The first stop was in De Steeg near the Koningsplein in a cafe called De Havelaar. Here the first taste of half head/half lager beer was had and a few games of pool were played. Fortunately for TDO, Strac's UT is much better than his pool. Later the foursome went to a pub called De Gieter, just off the Leidseplein, but it was way too crowded, and so a quieter bar was found.
A few beers later it was closing time and so the Diuturnals headed back to Strac's for a few more beers, which they were obviously happy about, and then a good day's sleep.
